A fully branded public site
Your archive lives at your own URL, under your own name, with your branding applied throughout. The Corals infrastructure is invisible to your audience. They see your collection not a shared platform and not a template.
Powerful search and discovery
Full keyword and date search. Category and sub-category browsing. Interactive map view that plots images geographically and creates hotspots of linked photographs. Trending, highest rated and most viewed images are also surfaced on the homepage automatically.
Curated pages and collections
Go beyond search results. Create editorial pages that group images around a theme, a period, a place or a story. Give your audience a reason to explore rather than just look something up.
User engagement
Enable ratings, comments and community metadata contributions or keep the site clean and curated. Whatever you choose this is all moderated through your admin panel. There is also an option to run themed submission calls to invite the public to add their own photographs to the collection.

Image sales and downloads
Set up the e-commerce module to sell image downloads at prices you control. Separate pricing for personal and commercial use can be applied. All transactions are handled through the platform.
Back-end administration
Upload individually or in bulk. Edit metadata across multiple images all in one go. Manage categories, users and content from a single dashboard. Reports show how people are using your archive.
Ongoing maintenance and support
System upgrades and maintenance are included in the monthly licence. Technical support is available at an hourly rate or through a rolling monthly credits plan.
Getting your collection ready
Publishing a photography archive takes preparation as well as a platform. Metadata structure, image categorisation and keyword planning is the groundwork that makes a collection usable. Our team has supported organisations through this process from the outset, and many continue to draw on that support long after their site has launched. It's available as a chargeable service, and it's some of the most valued work we do.
What Corals is not
Corals is a public-facing archive and collections platform, built specifically for photography. It is not a collections management system, a digital asset management tool or a general-purpose website builder.
